Phil: Hi, I am Phil Tran, Maryland State Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Teri: I am Teri McCambridge, Sports Medicine Physician at Towson Orthopaedic Associates.
Phil: I am excited to announce that Dr. McCambridge will speak at the 2020 NSCA Coaches Conference on Thursday, January 9th at 12:00pm at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX! I will also have the honor of introducing Teri on stage before a worldwide audience of strength coaches in high school, college, and professional sports.
Teri: Thank you, Phil. I will speak on “Heat Illnesses: How to Identify, Treat, and Prevent Complications.” This is a very timely and important topic for the strength and conditioning profession. I am honored to be invited by the NSCA to speak on this topic.
Phil, I think you also have your own speaking slot at the NSCA Coaches Conference as well.
Phil: I do! On Friday, January 10th at 12:00pm, I will have the honor of addressing the 2020 NSCA Coaches Conference on the topic of “Legislative Advocacy for Strength Coaches.” State and local legislatures across the country are considering a number of bills in their upcoming legislative sessions that will have a negative impact on the sports and fitness industry. I will teach strength coaches on how to organize and advocate for the profession.
Teri is one of the best in the business of sports medicine. I am looking forward to giving back to the profession by sharing my knowledge. I grew up in Texas, played Texas high school football, and college football for Baylor University so it will be good to visit the great State of Texas, see old friends, and enjoy some delicious Mexican food. We can’t wait to meet you all in San Antonio.
Teri: Please register for the NSCA Coaches Conference at nsca.com today!
Phil: We hope to see you all there. Thank you!
