Support HB 576

Do you believe athletic trainers should be able to provide medical services to police, fire, and military personnel in addition to their work with athletes? In the State of Maryland, the law currently does not allow athletic trainers to work with the tactical athletes who keep us safe.

HB 576 seeks to change that and it is making its way through the Maryland General Assembly. This is a bipartisan bill that will update the practice of athletic training in Maryland to conform with the standards set by the National Athletic Trainers Association and with the legislation in enacted in many other states.

Please join us for Maryland Athletic Trainers Association Lobby Day on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 to speak with legislators about this important bill. As the Maryland State Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association, I will be in Annapolis with Kelley Crowe, Young Professionals Committee Chair for the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association, and our fellow athletic trainers to support our allies in their efforts. Sign up here to receive more information.

📢We're almost ONE WEEK AWAY‼️ Have you registered to Take Action in Annapolis with your fellow Maryland ATs next week? Tuesday, February 25th, we're hosting our 3rd annual Lobby Day & Legislative Brunch… make sure to SIGN UP TODAY! https://t.co/pjZbewkooU pic.twitter.com/1U7MUpw1y6
